What exactly is the offset? I know each car has certain specs on the offset of wheels that are mounted but can someone tell me what it means?
TIA
(Danny, maybe you can post some pics of it if that will help

CLK Klass: I have 19x9x5 with 35mm offset. I put 5 mm spacers on the rear but it still rubs a little bit on the inner wall when I hit bumps. How far are you from the outer tires to the fender?
Try not to put too thick of spacers as you might bring the tires close to the fender. Did you lower your car?
Samoan Ridah: the offset tells you how much the wheel go inside the arc space.
Try this

Hope it helps
edit: CLK_Klass: what are the tire sizes?

hinhin7,
Yes, I lower about one finger gap and have about 1 inch between the tire to fender... rigth now a got a replica LM5 on it, I believe they are 38mm offset. sounds like it should be the rigth offset since the 35mm plus 3 or 5 mm spacer.. because I'm thinking about getting a new set of wheel and I want to make sure the rigth offset this time without adding any spacer............
what your guys think about this wheel?

Do you want to get another new set of wheels with the same model? Remember, the tires also does matter, dont get anything wider than the 265/30/19 for the rear.
The correct offset for Brabus
19x8.5 offset 35 front
19x9.5 offset 30 rear
I think for other brands, they should be about the same.
Hope this helps
