2000 clk430 AC issues
This one has thoroughly perplexed my mechanic. 1st, they cannot find the freon leak. Car was filled with freon in September along with new compressor, and the car basically sat for three months (maybe driven 100 miles over that span), then freon was empty this week.
They tried the dye but to no avail. Also, the main AC/heat vents over the radio blow just a trickle unless the air is fully cranked, then medium air flow.
Is this a software/chip issue? Any help would be most appreciated.

If there is dye in the system and it really does empty - they should be able to find the leak if they even have half a brain. If it is empty it is going somewhere so the dye will show the leak. They just don't seem to know what they are doing. If they check the engine bay and obvious areas then check inside the cabin.
The other issue with the airflow is either a problem with your blower regulator - which is a pretty simple fix and not very expensive or you have a problem with the vent actuators - which is not a cheap fix. Again this is a very easy thing to determine - if the fan speed is set to high and you hear the motor blowing very fast but no air its the vent control if it doesn't seem to be blowing fast then its the regulator.
Personally I'd take it to another shop - who knows A/C systems.
