no radio backlight and steering wheel radio controls
I have a 2001 CLK55 AMG.
I just lost my radio backlight as well as the steering wheel controls for the radio, as well as the mfd (multi function display) for the radio. I cant find a fuse for these functions. Any ideas? Hopefully just a fuse that I overlooked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just checked it, no luck. The only changes Ive made lately was that I put LED's in place of the parking lights.(the little oval lights by the headlights) any chance that would affect weird stuff like this. Im going to switch them back to check when my kid gets back with the car.

Check it again! It may not be loose as in it popped out the back but it is loose where the wires connect into the connector. If you push the wires a little at dofferent points you will see the radio, etc blink on and off. Take it easy and take your time when looking. Should be around the orange, white or blk wires.
Best wishes.

I have the same problem too, no lights, and no volume control. tried connections as well, didn't fix it. All this happened when I changed radios. Old unit, tape adapter got stuck, so had to get a new(used) radio. Any ideas?
