Clk430 Sometimes stock in 2nd gear Atf fluid? Case? Replace tranny?

Clk430 Sometimes stock in 2nd gear Atf fluid? Case? Replace tranny?
Hello i have read here and found some info but need some help.
2002 clk 430 140k
I noticed a leak in my garage dont even know if its oil or atf fluid.
Also car may be fine but at a stop sometimes i takeoff and the car does not shift, it stays in 2nd gear i think. I try to shift manually but it does no work.
I would have to put the car in park turn it off and then it would shift normal.
This is happening more often now...
Where do i start?
I am handy, change oil, brakes and stuff so what can i do?
