ECU wont reset

Hi, Apart from the ECU not resetting it shows the following fault codes: P200C Cam Sensor
P200B Air Flow Sensor (replaced)
P2014 Inlet Cam Sensor
P2016 Carbon Cannister Valve
P2023 Lambda sensor in front of CAT (replaced)

The car is driveable but it lacks power. Are these symptons indicative of a blown ECU hence the 5 faults and not being able to reset the codes on the ECU? The car has been jump started recently and i have heard this can damage the ecu.

Any help appreciated Regards Ian

99CLK320,
When you say the ECU won't reset what do you mean? What did you do to reset it? Can you erase the fault codes with your reader? If the ECU was blown I would think the car wouldn't run period.

Hi DLBehrns thanks for the reply. The ECU wont allow you to clear down the codes, my mechanic thinks that may be one of the components sowing a fault is actually in short circuit. Just wondered if anyone knows how to test this theory or if anyone has had similar issues?

99CLK320,
Try resetting the ADP=Adpative Driving Parameters. Turn the key all the way clockwise(two clicks) but do not start. Then press the throttle to the floor and hold it for 30 seconds. Without releasing the throttle turn the key to off. Hold the throttle for 30 seconds and release. Just a wild *** guess on my part. If your code reader has a delete code function (and it has worked in the past) but that will not erase the codes and return the car to proper running order you may need to find a higher power with a MB Star diagnostic software to find what the problem is. An independent mechanic that specializes in MBs may be your only recourse or, the dealer of course. Good luck.

hey it might have been a wild *** guess but it seems to have restored the performance!!! I recently changed the battery, should i have gone through that proceedure after that? I wont know if its solved the clearing of the faults until my mechanic next works on it but it seems my car 'is back'. Thanks very much for the advice, can you tell me what next weekends lottery numbers are please?
