2000 CLK 230K - Questions
Hi. I'm new to the forum as I've just bought a CLK 230K (UK Edition), my first Merc.
I'll probably be posting several questions in time but first one may have an obvious answer - can a W209 interior be installed into my W208? Have the chance to change from cloth to leather at a great price, but unsure if compatible.
Any info would be appreciated.

2000 CLK 430
Ive been on the forums for years now and so far i haven't seen anyone who may have done this post here about it. If its a local seller go try it if not you might not want to risk it

First Congrats on your fine ride, I have the exact same car as you and year and Im in the UK too.
Like others have said I have also never seen the question asked about the interior of a W209 fitting, however from personal experience I have changed interiors in cars including a W210 E class. Like you I wanted leather to replace my ugly cloth grey seats, I bought a leather interior set off ebay for £150 from a place called Drondsfields in Manchester I think. The problem was that the seats I bought were electric and mine were manual. I did want to see of I could adapt the electric seats somehow but it was too costly with moduels and wiring.
So I called Drondsfields and spoke to a guy there who suggested to just remove the covers of the seats and swap them. After help over the phone I got the job done and as with any DIY job theres a learning curve as the first seat took about 1 hour but the second I did in 20 mins ! All door cards also were changed and the car looked like it was done in the factory !
My suggestion would be to look for a W208 interior, they come up on ebay often and look out for Drondsfields, their number is 0333 240 1020 and they deliver cheaply. That way you can just bolt the seats in, and changed the door liners, just rememeber to get the same style of seat i.e electric, manual etc but failing that you can always swap the covers like I did !

Cheers !
