rain sensing wiper adjustment
Is it possible to adjust how sensitive the rain sensory is on the wiper? Lately mine as getting a little over-zealous with even a slight mist. It makes me feel silly driving with a slight drizzle and the wiper on full blast

seems mine got some problem. There is no response with the wiper when it is raining outside, as I have turned the controller once.

I assume so. I turn it once and it just goes however fast it feels, no real consistent pattern. I'm just wondering if there's a way to tone it down a notch

Yes , if you turn the wiper to the 1st position this will be the auto-sensor ON. I had an issue with mine after I shorted a wire by mistake when intalling my stereo and for some reason caused my wipers to stay on all the time despite rain or not .
I bought a second hand one off ebay for about $20, it just clipped in place and worked perfectly after that.

If you want to have the wipers so that they work work without the sensor, just pull the small plug on the sensor behind the mirror and it will make the wipers work intermitently when the wiper stalk is on the first setting.

Its directly behind the rear view mirror, theres a black plastic clip on cover that you pull off and underneath there is the small rectangle sensor, if you pull the cable it will allow the wiper to work intermitently like older cars. The sensor itself just clips off the windscreen and you can replace with your new one. Check the outside glass too in case there is a mark in front of the sensor lense which would cause the wipers to think its raining.

Did the wiper work okay before and rest in the normal position?
IF so then get a small flat head screwdriver or something similar and bend the end of it to form a slight angle, now insert this into the bottom of the black plastic wiper cover at the pivot it should unclip and you can remove the cover.
Inside you will see 2 sliders which could require some grease.
PS Make sure you do have the keys in the ignition as you want to be careful of your finger as the wiper is very strong!
Try this first, then if it does not help you can remove the complete assembly and look further.
