I started to put new foglight bulbs in my 2000 clk 320. when I removed the connector it fell apart. I guess it was a little to hot so I ordered a new set of pigtails from AutoZone. The new set only has one wire and no ground. should I return them and go to the stealership or is there a way for me to connect it with the 1 power wire? I tried running the 1 wire off the power wire but I couldn't get the bulb to light up.

Something like these should do the trick. Autozone should have them too. They probably just gave you the wrong ones.

Thanks for the help, but do I still need to get the HID ones even though my foglights are not HID?

 

The connectors should be the same. They are probably just a little more heavy duty.
