Trying to remove the bottom of the interior door panel for my 2001 CLK430. No luck, other than people are sending me directions on removing the entire door panel. Ii just need to remove the bottom part, where the speakers are, to replace the fabric. Please help !!

 

You can't remove the bottome of the area you are speaking of with the door panel still on. Also, you don't have to remove the lower part to re carpet it but it is much easier. The panel is sectioned together with a type of rivet for lack of a better term. Looks like the door sections will come apart if you take out the rivets.
