Headights not so bright

Headights not so bright
After turning on the headlight the lights are a bright white and then after 3 min the seem to loose the brightness to the point of a normall car. Is this normal or do I get new bulbs? how do I know if I have HID or not?

Not sure what you're asking - what does "losing brightness to the point of a normal car" mean? The CLK is a normal car.
If you're confusing color temperature with brightness, it's quite normal for HID's to appear bluer when they first turn on and then settle in to 4300k, which gives you the most usable light on the road.

You'll have headlamp washers with HID's, and you won't with halogen. Look for the square pieces centered on the bumper below your headlamps that protrude, and the button above the climate to the right of your driver heated seat switch.
