Super charger seems to be constantly on?

I have created a new post as I now have a new issue from my initial problem.
Two days ago I floored the gas pedal and accelerated through a tunnel, then as I started to slow I felt my car was lumpy, like miss firing, the power was down but I got home. I drove the car the next day and it still was miss firing.
When I started to look into the fault I found it to be a faulty ignition coil, I replaced this today and the car is fine and not miss-firing anymore.
However my new problem is that my super charger seems to be whining away constantly as if its constantly on? The butterfly valve at the air in take makes the mechanical noise when you start to turn the key, but im sure it used to stay close at idle then as you reved it would open and expel the supercharger air. But when I take the rubber pipe off that goes into the valve from the super charger there is air blasting through it constantly.? I thought it may be the clutch in the supercharger, however I disconnect the connector and the supercharger stops whinning so I think this means that the clutch is not stuck on.
It seems that something is telling the supercharger to be on constantly but what?

What he found was that the electro magnetic that operated the clutch on the supercharger was not responding. He said that unfortuntely you cannot just replace these as they are not sold seperately and the whole supercharger will need replacing.
Has anyone else been in the situation or know about this electro magnet on the clutch?
Interestingly if I disconnect the cable to the supercharger the clutch disengages, so its the electro magnet that seems to be staying on all the time.
