marcus, can you hook us up with auto parts just the same? my future sis-in-law may be interested in picking up a CLK320 soon... should I be contacting you for the sale?

I haven't dealt with Mark but when I dealt with my salesman and sales manager, they took me seriously when I was buying the E55 even though I'm only 25.

i'm in cali... and they still diss young people.

its just plain simple... the Benz is a car for the older generation... not for us 20-something teens... so if they see a 35yr guy walking the same showroom as my 25yr old self, i bet they would flock to the 35yr old first...

its simple business for them... go where they think the money is

I think this would depend on which dealer you go to. Some dealers are like that others not.

I think each specific instance is just that, specific. I've been dissed before by some dealership down here in SoCal...but Penske and HOI did entertain me a little.

most definitely each experience will differ... my visit to Penske was where I got dissed... i'm sure its not the dealer per say, but rather, the sales person who approaches you or you approach...

So you are the owner of that Black W211 E55. I guess you bought it in cuz there was a cassette tape that got stuck or something like that right? Yeah i visited the Wheel and Tire center but personally won't buy there since their price is way to high! If you're looking to get a set of shoes call Peter a www.wheelexperts.com

hey Viktorious, do you have any rubbing issues with your 15mm spacers? did you need to roll your fenders?

I'm noticing a little contact with the inside fenderwell covers, but just a little..

I wonder if they sell 12mm spacers, I think that would be perfect...
Yes, I did roll out my fenders just a bit just so that ill have proper clearance and of course no rubbing. I forgot the measurment of what i rolled out my fenders.

Frank,

You are right, that is Andrew's E500 w/full AMG body kit and quad exhaust. BTW, I am so busy, I don't have lots of time to mod my car but performed my first upgrade this morning. Check it out!!! Not drastict, but I like the sleek look

mmgrad,

I want to get my windows tinted, but do not like the look of a black film on a silver car. I have seen a pic of an E55 in silver with a tint called Quantim. Are you familar with this company or there quality? Also, do you have any tips on what to look for or brand that is better than others that have the "chrome or silver" finish? Here is the pic I am speaking about.....

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=50572

It is the 2nd post on the page by arerbe.....Any advice will help!

i've seen those tints before, they are very popular on Lexus RX300/330s.

Many tint shops carry those nowadays...

Here is a simple line-up of different types of tints...

Basic Charcoal tint is a flat charcoal/black tint
Aluminum Tint is a little reflective
Titanium Tint film is more reflective (this is what I have)
Platinum Tint film is even more reflective

What you are looking for seems to be more of a mirror-like tint... I think most tint shops use the Quantim brand you are referring to for those specific applications...

If you are interested in colored tints, they have those too (red, blue, yellow, etc...), but I would advise against that for a silver car... or any Benz for that matter.

Myself, I would recommend you getting a light titanium or platinum tint if you don't want something too dark... something like this car (guessing about 36):
