a while back u did a comparison for the city lights. i really liked the blue LED look for the city lights. is there a certain size LED i need to buy? what goes in installation? where would i buy it at? and how much would they normally cost? thanks
-Greg
those blue LEDs you saw on my comparison post was purchased from a Custom made light shop (PPD or DDP or something like that)... I can give you the part number for the bulb if you are interested in ordering some from them, they are about $8 a piece, which is a little expensive.
Some of the other members here have purchased LED bulbs from other retailers who mass produce then... overall, I think the output is about the same, just that the price is a little lower than my source.
do you think they would LEDs like at Kragens? thanks
-Greg
for chain stores that carry aftermarket stuff, PepBoys would have a better chance... but i don't recall them ever having any type of LED bulbs there
You are better off checking local rice tuning shops....
I still have yet to pick up some new M17s to see how they look... i guess I'll have to wait until next week or something...
mmgrad,
do you think you could post up a pick of your LEDs? jus so i can get a general look at how it looks likes? thanks

if you get a chances can u also tell me what size the blub is? thanks again!
-Greg
I ordered many different bulbs, but since I didn't think it through with proper measurements, half didn't work cause the bulb itself were too big to fit.
On the left, is DDP Part # MB402-W6-CW (base fits, but the bulb is too big)
In the center, is DDP Part # MB402-W12-CW (base fits, but the bulb is too big)
On the right, is DDP Part # MB403-W6-CW/MB403-W12-CW (this one fits perfectly)
Here is how you read the part numbers:
MB402/MB403: is the size & type of the base
W6/W12: is how many volts
C: is for Clear housing
W: is for White light output
i noticed you said u were goin to pick up some M17 bulb instead of LEDs...would you say that the M17 are better then LEDs? which type of lighting would last longer LED or M17? thanks

I'd say, the M17 will last you at least a couple years???
I still haven't had a chance to pick up some new M17s yet, but my old ones still work....
which is better... depends on what you want?
I think the M17s are a little brighter, but the LED emits a much bluer light...
