just bought an 02' clk 430
I had to get the car I totally love the look and performance. My previous car was an 03' acura cl-s 6 speed with 260 HP with 0-60 in 5.9 sec.
can this car keep up with that ??? It doesnt really matter since I bought the car for a different reason. anyhow here is the link to my car I just purchased and some pics of my old car.
my first mod is installing my Alpine iva-d900 7" screen with the Alpine dvd navi and the cd changer. Is there a kit available to make the installation easy?? and can I tap into the stock speakers or do I have to change those also.

Congratulations on the new car...
And I think everyone has to accept that, though the CLK can be a fast car, it is by nature not meant to pound the pavement and kill all competition... if you want a real sports/race car, then get a Porsche or something...
MB is meant to emphasize luxury, comfort, style and class... and on some models, you get a beast that will kill the competition, but not every model will do that...

i can tell you a true story that happened about a month ago dealing with a 2000 CL type S. I got smoked by one off the line last month....however my car has 19" LM-1's and a custom trunk (custom sub enclosure,plexi,amps, etc etc). He smoked me off the line, and when he did his tiptronics shift into second his car chirped....LOL. Coincidentally, we were going to the same gym to work out. I asked him what kind of mods he had. He had an exhuast, intake, cams, pulleys, and other stuff. Told me he ran a 13.4 1/4 mile.....don't know if that is true or not, but he did smoke me.
