Anyone with the transmission dipstick? 722.6 question
I need to make a 600 mile round trip this Thursday and noticed that I am low on transmission fluid as it takes time for the gear to shift from reverse to drive and it is abrupt. Plus a small pool of fluid on my driveway and I noticed the infamous o-ring will need to be replaced.
I have an IR thermometer but when trying to order the dipstick, I can only find places that do not offer overnight or two-day, or they are outrageously priced.
Is there anyone who has one of these dipsticks that would be able to take measurements for me of the entire length to the "top" where it seats, and for both the 20ºC and 80ºC min and max levels?
I have to make this trip in my CLK430 and just short on time, not able to get the part to me quick enough.

So, is there anyone out there that would be able to get me these measurements? I am willing to send beer $, provided you are over 21!

I ordered the cheap-o dipstick from UK seller on Ebay. there is no top seating. It's just a long piece of wire with a certain length of red paint on the tip. the directions say to just insert it until it stops. I found it flawed though, because the tip is painted red, and tranny fluid is red, so VERY hard to read correctly. I will probably order a real one.
