Shifter Knob Topper
Ok, I have no idea how this happened. I got into the car today and I noticed that the mercedes emblem on top of the shifter was gone. I checked in and around the seats, in the ashtray, under the ash tray, in the drink compartment (no drink holder in there) on the drive way, at work, so far nothing. 
Any clue where it may have fallen? Is there a common place this thing might have gotten lodged?
Where would I find a new one?

Its probably lodged between the seat tracks and the side carpet - or it fell into the cupholder area.
The part is easily obtained from a dealer - I have the part number somewhere - I'll look for it. The problem with the emblem is that when it separates from the knob it can pull the silver foil backing and then it will look like crap. Also when you try to remove the foam pad remnants it will do the same thing. Part is pretty cheap - think it was 20 dollars. The gear knob isn't - think it is about 180 dollars US.

On www.genuinemercedesparts.com it sells for $18.00 I think my dealer charged the same because of my discount. You will not get any form adhesive to put it on and I can't recommend anything. What was on it was some sort of extremely thin double sided trim tape which you can't just buy at a auto supply store. I sold the one I had on eBay because I found another gearshift knob that was in significantly better condition than the one that was on my car.
