Cool brake booser vacuum line

2002 MB CLK320. The brake booster vacuum line has broken off at the intake manifold. The piece in the manifold is loose, can be rotated, but will come out only a few centimeters when I pull on it. I am afraid i will break something if I pull too hard on the piece.

Obviously I'm a little late to reply to this post (like 4 years) but I thought I would add a reply for those that might find this later. The piece on the manifold has two tabs that stick out every so slightly. They are located 180 degrees apart. Get a helper (small hands is a bonus) and have them squeeze the tabs. You can now remove the broken pipe. I didn't have a helper handy so I stuck a house key in the broken pipe, squeezed the tabs with my other hand and flicked the house key to get the pipe to come out. Installing the new hose (which comes with an upgraded pipe) is easy and just the reverse of the process. The part number is 202 430 17 29
