Acura CL Type S
Next Gen

I know this probably has been discussed many times before, but I could not find what i was looking for in a search. SSimply, my dad bought me a 2001 Acura CL Type S and now he needs a new car. He is looking at the next gen CLK (he can use one of our other cars till it comes out). But, he likes manual trannies and front/four-wheel drive. In addtion, he wants a heated steeering wheel (yea, wierd). Is the CLK gonna have this stuff?

No, no, and no. But it has "taptronic" shifting in which all you need to do is push the stick left or right. It's not as quick as a manual, but a differential/egs upgrade would more than fix that. I don't know of any Euro cars besides VW that come with front wheel drive. MB has an option for 4-matic, but I don't know if that can be ordered on a CLK. As for the heated steering wheel, he can either leave the car out in the sun or get an aftermarket steering wheel.

The Infiniti I30 has front wheel drive and a heated steering wheel. I think the new BMW 330iX has a heated wheel, in addition to four wheel drive and a manual trans. Not sure, but the 2002 Nissan Maxima might have a heated wheel too, in addition to a manual trans and front wheel drive.

Another make that is front (or all wheel drive) and w/ manual tranny are the Audi models

A4
A6

the quattro models are the all wheel drive. Don't think they have heated steering wheels though (don't know this for certain)

You can get turbo 4's or V6 engines in these.
