I ordered a 2002 CLK430 in December hoping to get a good discount due to the '03's late summer arrival. My dealer gave me $2200.00 off retail and scheduled delivery for this week. Well it's been sitting at the port (Germany) since Feb. 22 and definately won't make it here next week. Due you guys think I can leverage a better discount since its (1) late and (2) the 2003's have been officially debued ???? Since invoice is around 46K what do you suggest I should pay now ??!!!

Don't know your MB dealer. The further North you go from Miami, the better your chances.

I would try a different tactic. Look for items that are of low cost to them, but high value to you. Dealers make a lot of money on accessories. Have you already ordered a CD changer? How about a phone? I would try to get something along those lines, deeply discounted, if possible.

Thanx guys, my dealer is MB of Miami. I went as far north as Fort Pierce. The most I could get off of them back in December was $500. So when these guys gave me $2,200, I was pleased. Maybe they just "puppy dogged" me !! The car is still in Germany and my 540 lease is up in four days!! I'm considering letting go of the special order Orion Blue color, just go ahead and get Black. I wanted to be different. The rest of my order was K2a, K3, K4, Command and 18" OZ wheels. I'm seriously considering the changer now. I really dont want to deal with those guys if they cannot produce the car I want. 'Cause they might have well been dangling the carrot in my face!! I did'nt think MBenz dealers did that !!! Thought they had class ! Does anyone know of a dealer that is ready to deal and give a good discount??? Please let me know !! I was on the W211 site and a guy got a $6000 discount on his 2002 E55 up in Maryland. I don't mind shopping that far!!!
