Aiee!

I just got home from partying, I valet my car at Skybar and when I get home I notice the entire left side of my front bumper is hanging off with some cheap tape trying to hold the bumper up on the inside of the kit!!!

Stupid of me not to check the car before leaving the club but I was drunk and I guess they pulled a pretty good job temporarily.

******* valet ****ers no wonder they took forever to bring my car back!! They probably scraped my car on a ramp and the thing broke off!

Is there any point in bringing this up with the management of Mondrean (sp?) or is it a dead end?

Well for future reference for any of you guys that valet... CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU LEAVE coz they know you are drunk and won't notice it until later! Don't be a dumbass like me

You can only blame yourself because you did not check before you left.

You admitted you were drunk, so this is a small punishment for drunk driving. Be smart, don’t drive after drinking alcohol. You may end up killing someone and go to jail for the rest of you life. If you can afford a CLK, why don’t you hire car service when going drinking and save yourself some troubles? I am sure you will not enjoy driving after you hit someone.

Well you could try, but you have no valid proof that they did it, though they might have. You should of inspected the car before you dropped it off...

Good luck and sorry about your bumper.

Chris,

what bumper do you have on now???

Sounds like you have lots of bad luck with your bumpers....

anyways, this has happened to someone on the W203 forum...

Heres my advice, take the car to skybar, talk to the manager, and have them question the valet people. if they deny it, tell them, you found the bumper to be taped onto your car to hide the damage, and that you are pretty sure that there are fingerprints on the tape (inside or outside, or both)...

i just hope you haven't removed the tape yet...

if they deny everything, get the tape removed and have it fingerprinted... then, have some lawyers chew their as$ off...

hi tech product: I am a responsible drunk driver I don't drink too heavy, stop at 12:45-1am and drive safely.

Viktorious: Thanks for your condolence

Danny: I removed the tape already, went to temporarily fix the bumper so it's still attached to my car, plus have to make my car all pwwettty for tonights excursion. Doesn't look too bad now just near the fender is a little cracked; but it's a pity it happened. I am not going to make anything out of this as it is my fault for not checking this problem before leaving, it will just make matters worse both for my wallet and pride. I suppose I'll be buying a new bumper (yet again) in the next month or so. Still going to use the RS replica bumper for the time being. Thanks for the info though, I'll remember for future reference

Never valet!

I know it sounds hard depending on where you go, but I never trust anyone with my CLK. Those guys barely make minimum wage and don't care what the hell happens to your nice car. I sometimes park a mile away just to be sure my car will be ok.

it won't be much of a grand entrance if when you leave (or the next time you arrive) and your bumper is dragging on the floor...

you might be able to get them to pay just because you were intoxicated. I am in business law right now and a contractual agreement is sometimes voided if you are intoxicated and it sounded like you entered into a verbal contract...on the flipside I am a college student with 2 months of business law 205 experience so don't listen to me
