1999 clk430
my trunk wont open
i have a 1999 clk430..my trunk wont open with the remote..inside the care or the mech key and my seats are latched...any ides on how to get in my trunk and what might be wrong

If I read your post correctly, your inside trunk button does not work and the seats are locked.....saying that, open the first aid kit, reach your hand down through the bottom and grab the seat release. Then you can crawl into the trunk and figure out what is wrong...probably something jammed in the latch. I always keep one of the seats unlocked.

The seat release handle isn't that far in unless you are sportin' some big guns(big arms) like Williams007. If you are reaching in from the right/drivers side with your left arm the handle is to your right. there's one of the left as well that might be reached easier with the other arm. if you found the cable can you trace it back to the handle?
