2001 Mercedes CLK 320
Unplugged the key Cylinder on my 01 CLK 320 to install a universal push to start and plugged it back in now my car won't start!!!! Need help

I don't know if you have solved this yet but since no one else has replied I will give it a shot. I don't think that kit will work with the CLK because the key needs to talk to the computer to get it to start. Its not the older conventional cars that just needed a key to turn the tumbler. The newer push start keys use RFID "or something close" to sense when the key is close and will allow the engine to start. Just a thought....

Ouch! EIS, electronic ignition switch, infra red communication between the programmed remote and EIS consist of 1000's of codes. I lost a key once, no one but MB Dealer could get me one.
I don't think that any universal key or switch would work with BENZ. If it did please let me know, that would be a very rare special case
