for some reason my trunk acts funny. I'll open it and when I try to close it, it'll slam but it wont lock and close. it opens right back up and I have to repeatedly slam it down multiple times for it to lock and shut.. I was wondering what could be causing this and how to fix it?

I would try two things, Penetrating Oil on the locking mechanism, secondly, look to see if there is chaffing, because there are two bolts that you can adjust the mechanism with, it's probably off a bit.
