Just wondering. I jus took my car into the dealership and completed Flex Service B. No major repairs or issues...just oil and fluid change. I asked the dealer and they just said it was part of being a "member."
Huh?!?!?!
Question: Why does it cost $412.73?

That's how much it cost because you took it to the dealer. Service from the dealer is always a rip off. That's how they can afford "free" loaner cars, shuttles, doughnuts, coffee, etc. They're not free - you pay for them everytime you get your car serviced there. Find a good Mercedes mechanic if you're not up to doing it yourself and take your car there from now on.

Does this mean that I should look for a place that "services MBs or European imports?"
I have owned cars for quite awhile and realize that service at the dealer always costs more...but I would think there would be a difference between GOUGING and just plain old good service.

Yeah look for someone that specializes in Mercedes and talk to the mechanic if you can. It would help to get some recommendations. See if anyone on the board is from your area and can recommend a shop.

Used to be a CLK430
Wow $412 is outrageous, I paid $321 and was livid!! I checked a couple of dealers in the area and found different prices everywhere!! Do the same then go back and tell them to do a price adjustment....all they freakin did was a damn oil change and washed it for you! I hate the f*ck*rs at MB of Greenway in Houston, they will never see my car again!!

I'd love to hear what your service bay manager tells you if you call him on the phone and ask him to break down the costs of that $412 job. Be sure to tell him you're doing this for an Internet forum and ask him to spell his last name.
