ESP / BAS Malfunction weirdness?!

My car was parked for about two weeks, its been incredibly cold. Started it up and got the BAS/ESP Malfunction. Turned off, and restarted - went away. Drove car - started a few times, no errors. Had same results again today. Any ideas? Battery is very old - like six years but haven't had any starting issues - except 6 months ago when it died because I left the lights on for a while when I was parked.

I've been having the same issue, read somewhere that a low/weak battery can trigger this. -40 with windchill out here in Toronto

Yup.. had the same issue and an ABS malfunction light as well after the car sat for 5-6 months way up northeast .. changed out the original(10 year old) battery and the problem went away
