HELP! Need to borrow convertible roof wrench in FL.
I'm located in Gainsville, wrench is locked in trunk, back section of top will not lock down. Spare key will not open trunk. I'm getting desperate. I know I was stupid to leave it the trunk!

Really! You mean the hex head bolt that locks and unlocks the rear metal ton no cover? The long wrench that slides down behind the rear seat cushion and the solid metal firewall type partition that separates the trunk. I''ll try my slimmer snap-on wrenches or something from the bicycle. Thank you for your help.

Here is what the wrench looks like:
10-mm open-end on one side, and 6-mm Allen wrench on the other.
MickM, I take it that your hydraulic system won't even open the top any more? What's your next step?

Hi klaus, You rebuilt one of my cylinders for me last year, great work thank you. I've got the interior panels out of the trunk trying to clean things up a little better. I've been running with out the window shade baggage cover in place, just jumping the sensor switch using a wooden clothing pin. I got the top almost shut with the rear glass window section caught by the tanno catch but not pulled down all the way. I think this is because the cloths spin popped off. So now the switch does nothing, no up or no down. I have tried both manual trunk keys even with as much plier pressure as I dare but no luck. My plan is to use the wrench to lock the roof down to the car (roof up position) which should clear my alarm allowing remote to open trunk and fix cloths pin and finish inside trunk repair.
