Starting problem.
I have just got my proud hands on a CLK 320 w208. Love the car to bits already but teething problems have started. Some times when I start it, it starts first time but every now and then when you turn the key the starter motor only kicks in for one second then nothing. I have to turn key off and try again. Some days it will start every time with no problems but Saturday I went and got fuel (and she needs lots of this lol) and got stuck in the station for 30/40 turns of key before it started.
Friend said it could be the starter relay and another said it would be the inhibitor switch in the gearbox.
Has anyone here had the same problem?
Would anybody know how to solve this?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mark
