1999 CLK Cabrio
Radio: '99 CLK320 vs. '00 CLK320

Hi guys,

I have a '99 CLK320 which I had previously installed a Kenwood KDC-X696 CD player in, without any problems whatsoever. I simply used an appropriate wiring harness and it's been working fine for the last year.

A couple months ago, I purchased a 2000 CLK320 in much better condition and having very few miles.

I am trying to move the Kenwood unit from the '99 to the '00 and am running into a problem. I moved the factory '00 radio into the '99 car without a hitch. The problem is with the Kenwood going into the '00.

I thought it would be plug 'n play, but it appears the wiring in the two cars is slightly different. I have located the "always-on positive" but I can't quite figure out which pin is "switched positive". When the factory radio was installed in the car, it worked fine.

Any ideas what the wiring differences are?
