Getting bigger wheels...do I need to re-calibrate my computer?
So I'm getting bigger wheels (thanks Harris!) and I was wondering if I need to have the dealer re-calibrate my car's computer to account for the larger size wheel? I'm going from a 16" stock wheel (205x55) to a 18" wheel (255x35). Now simple math tells me that my overall wheels size will get bigger.
I don't want to have my car tell me that I'm going 65 when I'm really going 67.
Do I have to goto the dealer or is there some way that I can adjust the assumptions that are programmed into my car?
Thanks...

Bhavin, you dont have to do anything. The overall diameter of yr tires will remain the same. You're having 205/55/16 wheels now, whileas you'll be getting 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 later, as long as you maintain the same tire width/wheel ratio, you will be fine. I noticed that your wheels have reached CA already. Getting there!

Shouldn't have to do anything unless you have COMAND. Then you would have to re-cal the NAV settings for the new tore size and tread conditions.

I just got my 18" wheels and put it next to my stock 16" wheels and the 16" wheels + tires were a smidgen taller! The overall circumference of the wheel was also slightly larger on the 16" + tires.
This is the opposite of what I expected!
