Steering Damper

Steering Damper
Hey all I was under the car today poking around and realized my steering damper is leaking once again. I was kicking around the idea of grabbing a bilstein replacement ($50) at twice the cost of the one I got last time from Autohaus AZ. Does anyone think there is any benefit to a "high performance" steering damper or will it just be twice the cost for using a brand name?

The first time I bought from Autohausaz there was only one option now they offer 2. I just went with the one that looked like the stock replacement. Still waiting for it which stinks should have been here Friday!

I would go with the Bilstein unit. Its cheaper in the long run to do the repair once with a quality part than twice with an inferior part. If you don't purchase OEM go for a German made part. Many parts are deceptive like Uro brand which is made in China. If you haven't heard of the brand ask the sales person to look on the box and see where the part was made. Lemforder and *** are recommended aftermarket German part brands.
