Crank Case Vent Valve Replacement
I brought my Clk320 '98 to the repair shop because of an oil leak. One of the leaks they said that the Crank Case Vent Valve (he also referred to it as PVC Breather Plate) needs to be replaced. Wanted to charge $400 for job. Does anyone know where I can find how to replace this? Is it a DIYer or should I have a professional do the job?
Thanks - this is my first post, but thankfulI found the site, my other leak was the Cam Shaft Plug (which he wanted to charge me $100 for - but from this site it seems like an easy fix that I can do)

I think they are talking about the top section of the valve cover. It's an easy DIY. Look for the nice DIY write-up for changing the valve cover gaskets, all the info and pics are there.
You should also order/replace all the breather hoses and connectors, they are most likely brittle and will fall apart in the process. Very cheap parts.
