Newbie here!! need some questions answered!!

Hello everyone!!! I just bought my opal black clk430 with 35K miles 2 weeks ago and already made an appoinment for a service tomorrow morning. Before I go to the dealer tomorrow, I would like to know if you guys can answer some questions.

-The reason I am going to the dealer tomorrow's because I hear some kind of metal rattling sound under the car at little over a normal acceration. I don't hear anything if I drive like a granma but lets say if I push the gas between 20k to 35k I hear this rattle/clunking under the car. I kinda think its a catalic converter problem but not sure.

-I hear some type of clock ticking sound when all windows are up and radios off. I can't hear when cars in motion/windows down/radio on but if I pay attention, I can hear, "click, click, click, click" it's very annoying once I tunned my self in.

-How often do I get an oil change?? is it 3k?? if it is, i don't know if I should put synthetic or regular. Anybody???? I searched and read people talking about getting their oil change at each services at a dealer(A Service, B Service, ETC.)
-Any other commond problems with 00 W208s?? I still have my factory warranty. Hopefully I wouldn't pay anything when I go tomorrow. Anybody has answers to my concerns????? Thanks!!

"rattling sound under "
*** This is the catalic converter gone bad. I had the same issue with my 02' CLK. Don't worry, it's under warranty. It's a known issue. When you accelerate, sounds like so
mething flicking like a metal piece and it goes away comes back..very annoying. The dealer should have this done within the same day.

Not sure of the windows issue though.

***If you are a regular city driver putting 12 -15K a year on your car, with normal wear and tear, i would just get oil changes around 5K with Mobil 1 which is OEM. I don't drive my car every day so, I usually can get by on 5-10K between oil changes, but i would recommend every 5K for everyday use. Even though many swear by the electronic service intervals which tell you get your service at 12 - 15K, I simply don't feel comfortable with that..personally speaking..though!

Good luck 2morrow. Dealer should fix all the issues w/i same day. Don't forgot to get your free loaner I don't think there are major issues w/ 00' clks. If so, your warranty is pretty good at covering most repairs.

Welcome to the forum. You will love your w208 once you get all the "little" quirks taken care of. Post pics when you get a chance.

I just came back from the dealer after waiting for 4hrs. Here's an update.

Rattling sound under the car caused by a metal shield covering the catalic Converter. Here's what they said, "Apprently, the metal shield which's 2-3mm away from the CAT became lose and at high/modest accerlation, it was hitting against the Cat"<Replaced to brand new shield under the warrenty>

Clicking sound was caused by a FPD(Fuel Pulsuation Damper) gone bad. <Replaced under the warrenty>

Thank you guys for your support!!!
