mb repair manual on cd from ebay
I recently bought a Repair manual on CD from Ebay. I read about these on another post and people talked of Spyware and malware.This CD has a .exe file to set it up and in the instructions talked about letting it run Updates. it also uses internet explorer to operate. This is my main computer I am using and am leary of seting up software that I,m not sure of. I have used Manuals on disc for my Moto Guzzi,s and they were simple pdf Adobe files.
Has anyone used these and have any suggestions or input?

I posted in the other thread to use an external hard drive. If it has problems you can wipe the drive. I luckily have an old laptop computer to load a questionable WIS to. I know there were some trusted WIS programs circulating these forums a few years ago. You could pick up an outdated laptop to run in your garage?
