asking price
anyone have any opinions on what the real value of the 02 Clk430 Conv is? I have 110K on the car and currently I am trying to make a choice of selling or keeping it. The trouble is the "book value" of a car rarely translates into $ in the pocket. I have the black car and top with the chrome amg wheels from the factory, I don't see many others out there but I know they exist.

Asking price really depends on how fast you want to sell the car. A detailed listing can help you command a higher asking price. Autotrader listings will have you competing with dealers asking price and you can typically ask for more private party than a site like Craigslist.
Without pics or detailed information and assuming there are no flaws ie dead pixels, ripped interior, major dents, scratches or rust; I would ask between $9995-$12995. I would make sure the check straps are good in the doors, steering gear bolts are tightened and wheel bearings are adjusted. They cost nothing to do but give the next owner peace of mind.
Fully detail the car before taking detailed pics. Your asking price also depends on your location. Often different cars sell for different prices based on location in the country. Where are you located?

I'm thinking your car is probably in the 7-8k$ range realistically.

I feel like as the summer goes on, car prices begin to drop. Spring is really the prime time to sell on the north east coast. It might be different in Texas.
A w208 is a nice depreciated car. You really won't get all that much for it. If you enjoy the car I would continue driving it.
