I checked and I do have factory HIDs. How difficult is it to convert the aftermarket projector assembly to HID using a kit? Are there special precautions necessary when working with the high voltage system.

I DO have headlight washers.

Also I read or heard somewhere that the bumper does not to be removed on the 99 for the headlight swap. Opinions?

They say that it is wise to un-hook the cars battery when working with the hid lights.

If you do a quick search of the forum you will find something about someone who RetroFit factory xenon to aftermarket projectors. It was in a thread about led taillights not too long ago. I forget who the member is though.

Just make sure the lights are off. Also I would remove the bumper for sake of ease, also to make sure that you can see everything and thus dont lose anything.

Unfortunately I'm not able to remove the bumper by myself. I'm not able to get under the car or use a creeper anymore.

That's unfortunate . I'm not sure if it's possible to do it without taking the bumper off as I took mine off to switch the lights. I'm sure you'll find someone who did it with a search of the forum though.

Good luck!

-if you have other questions about the install process just pm me.

I'm fixing to sell my Halo projectors non CCFL for $200. They're about 1 1/2 old. Let me know if you're interested.

FYI- I run 6000K HID's both in my headlights and fogs. No blue tint just straight white. Looks clean.
