Well, like so many others, the purge valve on my 03 CLK cab is ticking away like crazy. I'd replace it, but I've heard that that's not always a sure thing to stop the noise (new one clicks as well or starts clicking soon after). Anyone have any experience with this?

I thought the clicking was normal even when new??? I've had the clicking since the day I bought the car a long time ago.

Really? It sounds awful, like a valve tick. Every time I drive into my local Taco Bell drive through, they know it's me from the ticking!
