HELP--Wiring for Lighted Door Sills

Has anyone put thier lighted door sills on yet on a 99 CLK? I found directions on formymercedes.com but the wiring is all wrong. I followed the directions and sills stay on when both doors are closed. Even after interior light goes off!!!!

Arrrrrrrrrr...this pisses me off. I dont want to tear apart the rear of the car to get to the door pin to find out what color it is. Also, I did not see a power (12V) red wire on the drivers side wiring harness of the car. The passengers side had one which was no problem.

Any help with pics or good detail would help....

Thanks again to all that can help

The instructions on formymercedes.com are correct. The instructions were sent to Jerry from me. Although my instructions were for a 2001 clk 320. He obviously used a different car for the pictures. It's possible that the wiring for the 99 model is different. If thats the case then I can't help you.
