"Lamp Defective" on reverse

So I replaced the city lights on my car which I was told by the person who sold me the car would get rid of the "Lamp Defective" warning on the instrument cluster. Turns out that wasn't the case and now I'm not sure what the issue is. Although I noticed the only time the "Lamp Defective" warning shows up is when I shift into Reverse from Park. Once I do that the warning stays there. Both back up lights are working as well as every other bulb on the rear end of the car.(rest of tail lights, license plate bulbs). Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Backup lights ;)

Bro, you got it fixed?

Check your reverse/backup lights, turn key to position 2 (just before start)
change to reverse
jump out of your car and check both reverse/backup lights (the 2 white once)
