redrilling wheels

Can a 5x114 be redrilled to a 5x112? Or is it safe to use an adapter?

anything is possible... but is it a good idea? I personally wouldn't recommend it... ESPECIALLY if its an expensive wheel like Brabus/HRE/Lorinser/Carlsson... etc...

Just to let you know, the 5x114.3 wheel can fit onto the benz with a little force... but, thats like trying to fit a size 28 jeans on a 34" waist.... you can suck it in and zip it up... but after you down that burrito, your guts will be hanging out your pants...

redrilling wheels is not a great idea because most shops don't have the right equipment as those of the mfr... and if they drill it poorly, you can get cracks... and that is never a good thing...
