Weird squeak from middle AC vents. 2 Videos, need some help
So lately my AC has had some issues with blowing cold. Ive ran diagnostics and nothing sticks out to me. I get somewhat cold air for a few minutes after start than it just blows hot.
As of yesterday I have noticed a short squeek/squeal which happens 4-5 times after turning on ac. It seems like this noise coincides with the compressor kicking on and off but im not positive.
My first thought was the expansion valve. Almost sounds as if something needs some oil or lube.
This is a new one to me but if anybody has any insight I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

I just got home and opened the hood up to observe. Upon start and turning ac on, I noticed the compressor was kicking on for a couple seconds than off for a few...it did this 3 or 4 times which is when I turned the car off.
I'm guessing that the squeal noise does coincide with the above mentioned compressor cycling...
Any thoughts guys? Would a failed expansion valve cause the compressor to kick off and on?

MarcusF, any insight for a fellow old time member? Both aux fans work fine, duo valve is working like it should ect.

Dose the AC actually work? Do you get cold air? I know that if your low on Freon it will cause the compressor to shut down. Do you have the readouts form the climate control system. Here is the Link to MarcusF instructions if you don't already have them. Good luck

sounds to me like you are low on cold juice. Grab a recharge kit from the parts store with a gauge and give it a drink. The compressor clicking on/off is called short cycling and a classic symptom of low r134a.
