CD Changer not working.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Out of nowhere, my CD changer on my 2001 CLK 430 just stopped working. It's def getting power, and it ejects fine. When I push the CD button, I get a message stating: NO CD CHANGER.

My car is just out of warranty, so I was curious if there was anything I can check before I bring it in.

Any clues.

Thanks.

u might want to try unplugging the 2 plugs temporarily, and then plugging them back in (the only 2 that plug into the changer). That usually "resets" the problem.

Got it to work after playing around a little with the wires. I am not sure exactly what I did. I want to make sure the wires are secure.

Can you explain how to remove the changer? I can't find any tabs or bolts holding it in.

Thanks.

it's held in by a factory bracket. I believe there are 4 screws holding the bracket .
