Is CLK320's MPG calculation correct?

Hi everyone,
I drove up to Los Angles to see friends for Thanksgiving break and I noticed that during my trip to LA and back to San Jose my MPG was 30.2.
Is this accurate?
I am driving a 2001 CLK320 with about 127000 miles on it and car has been a good car for me and never had any problems with it that cost me a lot of money.
What is your experience with MPG on your trips?
Thanks,

I see 27 in my 55 so yours seems reasonable.

I routinely get 30+ MPG on trips with as much as 34 MPG.

Surprisingly, when checked using actual fill ups vs. miles driven, the MPG shown in the display is amazingly accurate.

I just bought a CLK320 and driving back and forth between Denver and ABQ (460 miles and averaging 75+ mph on I-25) my trip average worked out to exactly 30 mpg, according to the computer. I'd say that's pretty impressive, especially considering the strong cross-winds on the drive!

2000 CLK320
I bought a 2000 CLK320 and got more than 33 mpg during the summer and that included some city driving. Averaged more than 31 mpg over 985 miles. An amazing car!
