Overhead Console Dome Light

I need to replace the dome light console in my lady's CLK 320. The current part number is 2088207401 with colour code 7D43.

Does anyone know whether a unit of the same colour code but having part number 2088200101 would still be compatible?

I've gotten more support from members in the W210 area than in the cars dedicated one. Go figure.

what year is the 320?

there would be some minor differences in functions. but the mount would be the same.

I've gotten the information I needed, that being there is no way of telling whether parts are directly interchangeable without trying them if part numbers don't match exactly. There are over 10 different dome light sets across the Mercedes range of the same year of manufacture, so the best thing to do is buy from the same model and year to be safe, apparently.
