CLK320 1999 Gear shift sticks when car is cold

CLK320 1999 Gear shift sticks when car is cold
Hi All

My Car will not shift into D or D4 when car is cold. I am forced to drive the car in D3 until it warms up. How ever after about 15mins when the car warms up it will allow me to shift into D4 and D. Please advise if anyone know what is going on. Thanks
