Random Question

Good afternoon everyone,

I am a bit of a newbie here. I have a 2001 Clk320 convertible. I am assuming it is a W208, but not sure. I would appreciate if someone would be able to let me know if I am right in assuming that it is the W208.

I have had some electrical problems with this car for about a year now and I finally had it looked at and the mechanic told me that he suspects that the rear SAM module is bad. Would anyone be able to tell me where to locate this unit as I would like to replace it. I am told that there are control modules all over the car but they all receive instructions from the SAM module and the problems I am having seem to be all related to the SAM module.

Any help?

The SAM Module is the unit which the relays and fuses in the trunk compartment plug into. It's right in front of your battery on the right side of the car. It's the "L" shaped part at the topside of the picture below. You can generally get the entire assembly with relays for under $75 on Ebay.
