Newbie's first question

First off....this is one great site, its worked wounders for me withought asking a question.

I didnt want my first question to be about wheel size but oh well. I have a 02 430 that i want to put 19's on and lower it 1 inch with Koni/Eibach combo. All 4 rims will be 19X8 with a 35mm offset. My tire guy says that the i can only go with a 235/35/19 tire all the way around and that if i went with anything bigger than 235 that id have to roll my fenders. Can someone tell me the best size tire that woulnt rub and that will fit on a 19X8? I can put up with an occasional rub here and there but not 50% of the time. This is my everyday driver and there would be passenger half the time that i dive it. Thank you for your time.

for a 19x8 wheel, 235 is about the widest you can go... the width of the wheel doesn't encourage any wider of a tire, plus, anything larger/wider will most likely cause contact with the fenders.

Lowering 1" will be no problem at all... I have mine lowered 2" and didn't even have to roll any fenders at all... i'm running 19x8.5 - 235/35 & 19x9.5 - 265/30

you want to avoid rubbing as much as possible else you will wear out your tires... and unless you have serious HP or anything, you really don't need tires larger than that....
