Deal alert - 2002 CLK55 coupe for sale near Orlando, FL
I came across this nice looking 2002 CLK55 coupe for sale. It's in a nice area near Orlando, FL. I emailed the guy and got a response, so it's legit. I was considering buying it but I decided my 430 is fast enough and I don't really want to put in the effort to move all of my custom stuff over, so If someone is interested, I think it's a very good price. Asking only $7K with 128k miles, and the posted pics look very clean.

buy it. you wont regret it. That looks like an extremely clean example of a 55 from the exterior. Underneath may be another story but it seems worth looking into.
IMO the 430 is underpowered, it's not slow but it's hardly dynamic. The 55 isnt the fastest car in the world but it's a huge bump up from the 430. I loved the 4.3 motor but I got used to it to the point where it would only make me smile occasionally. The 5.4 has me grinning from ear to ear constantly.
From one member to another, I think you should give it an honest look and maybe a test drive.

I've heard this; if you're happy with a 320, then don't drive a 430, and if you're happy with a 430, then don't drive a 55.
So right now, I've been very happy with my 430 for 3+ years. My current commute consists of 3 miles at 25-30mph limit, then 1 mile at 40-45mph limit. Unless I'm the front car at a couple of stop lights, I really have no opportunity to put my foot down at all. Maybe on a night or weekend I will run some errands without any traffic, or a rare highway trip, but mostly we drive my wife's SUV. I feel the power I already have is wasted.
My other concern is that I'm married to this car, I know every part that has been touched, replaced, fixed, cleaned and checked. It runs perfectly and 100% condition mechanically. I would hate to start over in that aspect, as well as swalpping over a lot of custom work that I just don't really have time for.
I'll just keep the 430 in my garage forever, or until I make enough dough to buy a Ferrari or something way cooler. It will be a secondary car soon, I'll probably get a newer SUV, truck, or sedan for my daily if I have kids in the next couple of years as planned.
