2002 clk 430
climate control fix
I have a 2002 CLK 430 cabrio, the auto buttons on both the driver and passenger side of the climate control do not work. I can turn the A/C and heater on using the fan and temp controls. Can these buttons be fixed or do I need a new control unit? Also the weather stripping on the left rear side window is torn but i can't seem to find a replacement online, any ideas?

It's not clear as to what you mean by the climate control auto buttons do not work.
However, if you believe that your auto control is no longer functional (e.g. because the red lamps are no longer showing), the auto control feature along with the indicating lamps can be disabled when a specific sequence of buttons are pushed on the climate control head (e.g. often done with eyes on the road and not on the control head). Likewise, auto control can be turned back on, by executing a specific button sequence.
Likewise, your weather stripping question is vague as well. My guess is that you mean the vertical seal between the rear edge of the front window and front edge of the rear window and not the seals where the rear window rolls down into the rear quarter panel or up into the roof.
If both or either of my guesses are correct, you'll find the needed information/details by using the forum's search function.

The buttons do come off but are very fragile, seems the MB design was for entire replacement when the buttons malfunction. I have a unit with a broken fan switch (replaced entire unit from eBay), all other switches work if you are interested...
