CLK 320 Convertible
Engine Knocking
Hello everyone, I have a 1999 CLK Cab, LOVE the car... restored it to 100% to MBZ standards and specs. Previous owner just messed up everything in the car. In another words, she did not take care of the car AT ALL!
However, lately when I turn the car on, in the morning, I hear a loud knocking noise from the engine... then after the car is warmed up the noise goes away. It still has full power and everything works. I live in Los Angeles, CA so the cold weather is not an issue. What could be wrong? Thanks

Could be lifter tick, I had the noise in my S500 m119 engine, I don't have it in the m113 engine in the CLK. The following link discusses the noise on an AMG m113 engine
