Mercedes CLK-GTR prototype was a McLaren F1
Saw this on reddit, but I'm not sure if this is the right section to post it.

Interesting read, and it now makes sense how Mercedes-AMG owned the FIA GT series after building a car from drawing board to race in 3 months.
